Glazed ceramics, 5-channel sound, pen and ink on paper, soft sculptural relics, stained glass, augmented reality digital and hand-drawn animation

≈≈aaaaaahmaaaaaa≈≈ is a sanctuary constructed from fragmented memories. A choir of singing ceramics surrounds the viewer as they contemplate a selection of narrative drawings and fabulated relics. A jewel-like, glowing, stained glass panel presents an imagined scene from the private tale of loss which informs the work. The stained glass is also a portal to a digital realm: with the help of a phone or tablet, an augmented reality layer turns the scene into a digital animation. A hymn to a distant grandmother, the work is also a space for growth, reflection and speculation.
