I think of ▷▥◉▻ as a temple from an alternate dimension. It is fractal, repeating itself at multiple scales. One of those scales corresponds to a human architecture: audience members can enter and dwell inside it. Structurally, an array of artworks and components form an anatomy – the head, body, bones and organs of an ambiguous being, a reimagining of my long-departed grandfather, whose familial mythology is one of migration, loss, labour and survival. These sculptural elements combine to form a speculatively sacred space, functioning at once as spectacle, memorial and refuge.
